Integration with
SMI Experiment Center
A seamless Replacement Solution
In 2017, SensoMotoric Instruments (SMI) discontinued all eye tracking products, services and support. If your SMI remote eye tracking system is no longer functional, EyeLogic offers a solution through LogicOne and Lite.
With LogicOne or Lite, you can easily replace your SMI eye tracker without modifying the software setup. Key benefits include:
- Simplicity – Retain the same features and ease of use as SMI hardware
- Cost savings – No need to change your experiment software
- Time savings – continue with your existing experimental setup without delays
This smooth integration allows researchers to maintain productivity without costly disruptions.
EyeLogic integration with SMI EXPERIMENT SUITE 360° and iViewX SDK
EyeLogic proudly offers compatibility for customers who continue to use discontinued SMI Experiment Suite 360°. This integration is designed for researchers working with the full suite, which includes SMI Experiment Center for experiment design, SMI BeGaze for data analysis, and the iViewX SDK for third-party integrations.
With EyeLogic, users can seamlessly replace their non-functional SMI remote eye tracking systems (RED4, RED250, RED500, RED-m, RED250mobile, REDn Scientific) using the LogicOne or Lite without altering their current software setup. This ensures that ongoing studies, experiments, SMI applications, and custom scripts continue without interruption.
EyeLogic’s eye tracker features:
- Supports all SMI experiments and analysis
- Works with existing SMI scripts
- No need for customization in applications developed with the iViewX SDK, supporting platforms like E-Prime, NBS Presentation, Python, and Matlab
Setup EyeLogic device and SMI Experiment Suite 360° in 3 simple steps
1. Install and start the EyeLogic server software
2. Run SMI Experiment Center
3. Enable tracking in the EyeLogic software window
The EyeLogic server software will automatically connect to the active SMI Experiment Center. You can monitor the connection status in both the top-right corner of Experiment Center and the RED tracking monitor. Once connected, you’re ready to use Experiment Center as usual with your EyeLogic device.
This simple setup process ensures seamless continuity for your research without the need for complex adjustments.
